【摘要】:ThesetestmethodsprovideuniformmethodsfortestingindustrialresistancethermometerssothatagiventestermayexpecttoobtainthesamevalueofatestresultfrommakingsuccessivemeasurementsonthesametestarticlewithinthelimitsofrepeatabilitygiveninAppendixX4.IndependenttestersmayalsoexpecttoobtainthesameresultfromthetestingofthesamearticlewithinthelimitsofreproducibilitygiveninAppendixX4.ThesetestsmaybeusedtoqualifyplatinumresistancethermometersforuseinspecificapplicationstomeetaparticularspecificationsuchasSpecificationE1137/E1137M,ortoevaluaterelativemeritsofequivalenttestarticlessuppliedbyoneormoremanufacturers,ortodeterminethelimitsoftheapplicationofaparticulardesignofthermometer.TheexpectedrepeatabilityandreproducibilityofselectedtestmethodsareincludedinAppendixX4.Somenon-destructivetestsdescribedinthesetestmethodsmaybeappliedtothermometersthatcanbesubsequentlysoldorused;otherdestructivetestsmayprecludethesaleoruseofthetestarticlebecauseofdamagethatthetestmayproduce.1.1Thesetestmethodscovertheprinciples,apparatus,andproceduresforcalibrationandtestingofindustrialresistancethermometers.1.2Thesetestmethodscoverthetestsforinsulationresistance,calibration,immersionerror,pressureeffects,thermalresponsetime,vibrationeffect,mechanicalshock,self-heatingeffect,stability,thermoelectriceffect,humidity,thermalhysteresis,thermalshock,andendsealintegrity.1.3Thesetestmethodsarenotnecessarilyintendedfor,recommendedtobeperformedon,orappropriateforeverytypeofthermometer.TheexpectedrepeatabilityandreproducibilityoftheresultsaretabulatedinAppendixX4.1.4Thesetestmethods,whenspecifiedinaprocurementdocument,shallgovernthemethodoftestingtheresistancethermometer.1.5Thermometerperformancespecifications,acceptancelimits,andsamplingmethodsarenotcoveredinthesetestmethods;theyshouldbespecifiedseparatelyintheprocurementdocument.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionarystatementsaregivenin5,6,8,16,and17.
