【摘要】:Thistestmethodisconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipments.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,thetestsamplestobeusedareashomogeneousaspossible,aredrawnfromthematerialfromwhichthedisparatetestresultswereobtained,andarerandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Otherfabricswithestablishedtestvaluesmaybeusedforthispurpose.Thetestresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.Individualrollsarenormallyacceptedorrejectedonthebasisofthemaximumamountofboworskewinaspecificrolloffabric.Theaverageboworskewinarollorlotortherangeofboworskewinarollmaybedeterminedbutarenotnormallyusedinthetradeforacceptanceorrejection.Boworskewcanbeinducedduringfabricmanufacturing,dyeing,tentering,finishing,orotheroperationswhereapotentialexistsforunevendistributionoftensionsacrossthefabricwidth.Bowandskewaremorevisuallydispleasingincolored,patternedfabricssuchasplaidsandhorizontalstripesratherthaninsolidcolorsbecausethecontrastmakesthedistortionmoreprominent.Thesedefectsmaycausesewingproblemsinsuchfabricsanddrapingproblemsinfinishedproducts.Insomecases,aspecifiedamountofskewisneeded,forexample,topreventtwistingofpantlegsmadeoftwillfabric.Matchingplaidsfromdistortedpatternsmaycreateseriousproblemsforthegarmentmanufacturerorhomesewer.Wavyorsharpbreaksinthebowlinearemoredetrimentaltotheappearanceofsmallpartsofagarment(suchascollars,pockets,andsoforth)thanagradualslopefromastraightline.5.3.1Automotiveinteriortextilesusedforseatbolsters,cushions,headrestsanddoorpanelsmaybesusceptibletobowandskew,especiallywhenvisuallypatternedfabricsarejoinedormatedtoastraightedgesurface.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofbowandskewoffillingyarnsinwovenfabricsandthecoursesinknittedfabrics.1.2Thistestmethodcanalsobeusedtomeasurethebowandskewofprintedgeometricdesigns.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
