【摘要】:Thistestwasdevelopedtomimictheformationofinsolublesobservedinsomeheavy-dutydieselcoolingsystemsduringthemid1980s.ItmeasuresthecompatibilityofSCAandcoolantconcentratesolutionsaccordingtotheirtendencytoforminsolublesinservice.6Suchinsolublematerialsmayaccumulatewithinacoolingsystem,restrictheattransferthroughradiatorcores,andcontributetothedamageofcomponentssuchaswaterpumps.1.1ThistestmethodcoversdeterminationofthecompatibilityofcommercialSCAandcommercialethyleneandpropyleneglycolenginecoolantconcentrates.Thistestmethodfocusesonthesolubilityofspecificchemicalspeciesformedintheenginecoolant.Theshortdurationofthetest(24h),amongotherrestrictions,makesthetestmethodoflimiteduseforsortingoutavarietyofchemicalcompatibilityproblemsinwhichacomponentoftheSCAmayreactwithacomponentofthecoolantadditivepackage.Thetestascurrentlywrittenalsodoesnotdealwiththeissueofhardwatercompatibility,inwhichacomponentofthecoolantorSCAadditivepackagereactswiththehardness(CaandMg)toformaprecipitate.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
