【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddefinesthemethodologyforcataloguingfeaturetypes.ThisInternationalStandardspecifieshowfeaturetypescanbeorganizedintoafeaturecatalogueandpresentedtotheusersofasetofgeographicdata.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletocreatingcataloguesoffeaturetypesinpreviouslyuncatalogueddomainsandtorevisingexistingfeaturecataloguestocomplywithstandardpractice.ThisInternationalStandardappliestothecataloguingoffeaturetypesthatarerepresentedindigitalform.Itsprinciplescanbeextendedtothecataloguingofotherformsofgeographicdata.FeaturecataloguesareindependentoffeatureconceptdictionariesdefinedinISO19126andcanbespecifiedwithouthavingtouseorcreateafeatureconceptdictionary.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletothedefinitionofgeographicfeaturesatthetypelevel.ThisInternationalStandardisnotapplicabletotherepresentationofindividualinstancesofeachtype.ThisInternationalStandardexcludesportrayalschemasasspecifiedinISO19117.ThisInternationalStandardcanbeusedasabasisfordefiningtheuniverseofdiscoursebeingmodelledinaparticularapplication,ortostandardizegeneralaspectsofrealworldfeaturesbeingmodelledinmorethanoneapplication.
